Wooden Fire Door Ei 30

The Ei 30 wooden fire door is the workhorse of hotel guestroom and internal corridor specifications: 30 minutes of integrity (E) and insulation (I) when tested to EN 1634-1 under the EN 13501-2 classification framework. Typical positions are guestroom entrance doors, corridor-subdividing doors, and office and back-of-house doors where the fire strategy calls for Ei 30.

The leaf is a 54 mm construction around an engineered core sized to the tested configuration, with hardwood lipping and machined intumescent seal grooves. Performance belongs to the whole assembly, not the leaf alone: the frame, hinges to EN 1935, closer to EN 1154, lock to EN 12209 and intumescent seals are specified as one matched, CE-marked set. Vision panels and louvres are offered only in the sizes covered by test evidence.

Finishes follow the interior design rather than leading it: natural wood veneer batched with the guestroom casework, project-colour lacquer, or HPL for back-of-house duty. Frames are steel-reinforced hardwood or aluminium.
