Clerk Dining Chair

A stacking-capable dining chair engineered for 300 covers a day, every day.

The piece

The Clerk Dining Chair is built for restaurants and hotel F&B where a chair is sat in, dragged, stacked, and cleaned hundreds of times a week. The design intent was a quiet, upright silhouette that disappears into the dining room — and a structure that outlasts the interior concept around it.

Contract-Grade by the Numbers

The frame is solid oak or beech, mortise-and-tenon joined with concealed steel dowel reinforcement; every chair passes a 110 kg static seat load and 100,000-cycle fatigue test before batch release. Corner blocks are glued and screwed from inside the frame — nothing visible from the dining room. The seat is a drop-in upholstered pad on hidden clips, replaceable in 2 minutes without tools.

Made to Travel

Legs and seat frame separate for nested packing: 480 chairs per 40HQ container versus roughly 260 assembled. Each carton carries a module number keyed to the table plan drawing we issue with the packing list, so your local contractor places chairs by zone without sorting.

Every dimension is open — seat height, back height, width — and we match any wood stain to a control sample, any textile or leather to spec. Minimum run 24 units. Lead time 8–10 weeks.
