Overcoming challenges

The brief, and how we landed it

The challenge

The feature wall design combined sintered stone and metal inlay, and the design team's local fabricator quotes came in 45% over the feature-wall budget with a 26-week lead time. The restaurant furniture had to meet a hard Ramadan-adjacent opening. Shipping to site meant coordinating with a single nominated customs broker and a two-week quarantine inspection window.

How we delivered

We took the wall from concept model to engineered shop drawings in three weeks, splitting the 14 m run into nine framed panels with concealed Z-clip rails. Stone and metal inlay were produced on our own lines under one QC pass. Furniture and wall panels shipped in one consolidated container with the broker's documentation pre-cleared, and the local contractor hung the wall in four days from our node drawings.

Value engineering on this project

Bringing the feature wall in-house removed the specialist fabricator premium and cut the wall budget by roughly 40% against local quotes. The wall's metal inlay was re-drawn as repeated CNC-cut strips instead of hand-formed pieces, halving fabrication hours. Consolidating wall panels and furniture into one container saved a second shipment and simplified customs clearance through the nominated broker.
